getting away with it
![]()
this vigorous instrumental backed getting away with it in 1989, and pointed the way to a future of great b-sides. its sparse, old school feel reflects the music that inspired electronic around their conception—and it’s as far from the smiths as you can get. along with second to none and lean to the inside, it was the only song from this era not to be performed live, while the 7" edit is one of a handful of electronic tracks only ever released on vinyl. the miami edit by frank callari, meanwhile, has a more concise, dynamic pulse; lucky bag was the only electronic b-side to be given the remix treatment.
