electronic’s fifth single is rather incongruously coupled with images of an enigmatic nurse observing a 50 cent prototype jogging and testing a parachute in a wind tunnel. whilst very aesthetic and stylised, like the artwork for the raise the pressure singles it’s misplaced, though a more literal interpretation of the lyrics would have been unnecessarily trite; the song is about a neglectful parent. hopelessly ’90s—though a touched up screenshot did make a nice cover for the best of ten years later—what this video does illustrate is how unusual a band electronic was: two guitarists, and that’s it.
