this vivid promo captures the mood of both the song and the times with its hazy landscapes, exotic imagery and predominant use of the letter e (for electronic). shot near mount pinatubo on the island of luzon in the philippines, the rather nauseating tale behind its conception is not betrayed by the lush visual scope, and along with disappointed it’s the most memorable electronic video. let’s not beat around the bush, it is brilliant. a version without the iconic phrases flashing up also exists (the video was apparently redirected by martyn atkins), while the edit found on the get the message dvd mysteriously lacks the wavy "guitar"… watch an official upload on youtube.
