electronic was a band very much of its time, a fact reflected not only in the records they made but also in the films that promoted each single. unfortunately, while the music was great, the ’90s was a period in which videos were utterly ridden with clichés, and the absence of a small girl wearing an angel costume and staring blankly at the camera is the only remarkable thing about this promo, in which marr and sumner look on as a leery group of men cause trouble in the city. there are two versions of this video, one listed as the “daytime version”, and another more explicit edit which features topless dancers. neither is on the best of dvd.
